About Me

IMG_3628

Hi!  My name is Myra and I live in Hanahan, South Carolina with the love of my life.  I went vegetarian in 2008 and after suffering from allergies for over 15 years and after much research I decided to eliminate dairy from my diet and went plant strong in 2011.  My allergies practically disappeared overnight and I have never looked back.  Everyone always asks what we eat at home and when we go out.  I hope this blog helps answer those questions and inspires others to live a happier, healthier, easier life in the kitchen by sharing the foods we eat with others.

    Hey Sis!

I LOVE IT! I love the pictures they are SO tempting to make me make the food hehe! I think the idea is great and just needs…… MORE RECIPES! hehe. ooo what about a link for options to make things alternative like… alternative to feta cheese… or eggs or something? Just an idea!

  2. Thanks! Love the idea’s and suggestions. There will definitely be more recipes coming. My goal is to add at least 3-4 recipes a week and if we eat out to show people what we order and how we eat when in tough situations like BBQ places, seafood restaurants, steak houses, etc, etc, etc. And yes, as I make things that are approved by both myself and Jim there will be alternatives to cheeses and eggs and other things we make a lot like homemade mayo, sour cream and creamy dressings. My goal is to inspire others to try what we have made and more than anything, come up with recipes of your own, to your own tastes and likes!

Great job! And even though I’m not vegan, I’m always down to try new things just like vegeinase that you used that one time in your pasta salad. I use that all the time now instead of mayo because it’s healthier than regular mayo and tasts better than lite mayo! Looking forward to more recipes. Keep up the awesome work!

Having had food prepared by Jim and Myra I can say it is truly amazing. Ask her to post her breakfast soyrizo bake? OMG-YUM!!!!!! I still enjoy meat and dairy, not going to lie, but I do also enjoy meatless and dairy free meals!!!! This is so nice to follow for something different.

    Great people, best friends, sister.

  7. LOVE the beautiful foods and the meatless options! Even if you aren’t Vegan, there are plenty of recipes here to help you make a day of the week meatless – maybe like a Meatless Monday!
